The historical society is home in an old jail. It may be haunted. Collection of historical stuff from Nemaha County, Kansas. Board of Directors – Quarterly Meeting – May 14, 2019

The board was recently notified that the society did not receive a Heritage Trust Fund grant this year.

Even though the society can reapply, the need for a controlled environment is now.

Without the ability to control the temperature in the Military Temple of Honor, access to the museum is limited to times when it isn’t too hot or too cold in the building.

This not only affects the ability of volunteers to develop displays but also the ability to have the Military Temple of Honor open for visitors.

Since we would like to have our museum open year round, we are seeking ways to fund the purchase of heating and air conditioning for the Military Temple of Honor.

A Go Fund Me campaign has been started to help us obtain donations for additional exterior and interior renovations along with Heat,Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
